Dr. Anastasia Dedyukhina is a global thought leader on digital wellbeing and a pioneer in creating a method to measure digital wellbeing at work. With over 1000 keynotes and workshops delivered to international audiences in person and online, she possesses a unique talent for connecting the dots and demonstrating how your employees' current technology usage impacts your business in the future.
As a two-time TEDx speaker (with over 400,000 views on YouTube) and bestselling author of "Homo Distractus: Fight for Your Choices and Identity in the Digital Age,"—her influential work has been featured in prominent global media outlets, including the BBC, The Guardian, Forbes, TechCrunch, Inc.com, Metro, El Pais, People Management, CBC Radio, Christian Science Monitor, and more.
The pivoting moment in her career happened in 2015, when Dr. Anastasia Dedyukhina left her dream job in digital marketing in London and got rid of her smartphone when she realized how dependent she had become on her gadget and how detrimental it was for her creativity. Her personal digital break of 1.5 years turned out to be life-changing, as she started Consciously Digital Institute, what in a few years became a network of over 150+ digital wellbeing coaches that help individuals and organizations develop a healthier relationship with technology.
She currently directs the first certification program in digital wellbeing, recognized by two major coaching associations, ICF and NBHWC, that helps companies prepare digital wellbeing leaders. Requirements for live events/workshops:
1. Wireless Clicker:
o Verify functionality before the event.
o Provide an emergency set of batteries.
o Have a backup clicker on standby.
2. Lapel Wireless Microphone:
o Highly prefer this type of microphone.
o Confirm its functionality beforehand.
o Supply an emergency set of batteries.
o Keep a backup microphone available on standby.
3. Projector with HDMI or wireless connection:
o Confirm its proper operation prior to the event.
o Ensure a reliable connection via HDMI cable or wireless.
4. Computers:
o Anastasia prefers to use her Dell computer.
o Alternatively, an HP computer is preferred.
o Ensure compatibility with the projector and confirm operation.
o Have a spare laptop on hand in case of technical difficulties with the presenter's computer.
5. Presentation Format:
o Primarily in PowerPoint, with occasional video elements, 16X9 screen format
o Anastasia typically sends to organizers the slides before the event for back-up purposes only.
o Please, advise well ahead of the event if no slides are expected.
6. Power Supply:
o Provide a power socket or extension cord for the presenter's computer.
o If outside mainland EU, ensure compatibility by using a local to European extension.
7. Recording Agreement:
o Discuss and agree in advance whether the event will be recorded.
8. Internet Connection:
o Ensure a stable and high-speed internet connection if online elements are part of the presentation.
o Please, confirm well ahead of time if the internet connection isn’t planned or isn’t good quality.
9. Tech Support:
o Assign technical support personnel to troubleshoot any unforeseen issues promptly before the event.
10. Water:
o Please, provide a large room temperature water bottle for the speaker before the presentation.
Requirements for online events/workshops:
1. Engagement Tools:
o Online conference software that consolidates polling, questions, chats, and other interactive tools in one setting is highly recommended and preferred, rather than using two different platforms.
2. Technical Rehearsal:
o Please ensure that Anastasia has an opportunity to test the platform.
3. Technical and Speaking Assistance:
o A facilitator from the organizer, capable of monitoring questions and polls, is highly preferred for technical and speaking assistance.
4. Session Feedback:
o Anastasia requests the setup of a final poll, asking participants to evaluate the session on a scale of 1-10 and indicate how willing they are to change their habits after it (on a scale of 1-10). She strongly recommends conducting the poll at the end of the session, rather than sending it later via a separate email. Anastasia also asks for the feedback to be shared with her.
5. Recording and Distribution:
o By default, Anastasia does not permit the recording and distribution of the content from her online sessions. Any exceptions to this policy need to be agreed upon separately in writing at the time of signing the contract.
Time Zone Differences for Live Events:
As a highly sought-after speaker, Anastasia prioritizes her well-being to ensure she presents at her best. The following requirements are designed to support this:
1. Pre-Event Night:
o Anastasia requires at least one night before the event. She does not conduct presentations on the same day as her flight and does not do any network on the day of arrival, if the flight is over 3 hours.
2. Preferred Schedule for Minimizing Jet Lag:
o Given that Anastasia primarily travels from Europe, a schedule that minimizes jet lag is appreciated.
§ For events in the US or Latin America, scheduling her talk in the first half of the day is preferred.
§ For events in Asia, scheduling her talk in the second half of the day is appreciated.
3. Online Event Availability:
o For online events, Anastasia is available from 8 am to midnight CET.
These guidelines ensure that Anastasia can maintain her optimal condition for live events and adapt to different time zones effectively.
Travel requirements
1. Travel Class:
o Business or executive class is preferred for flights longer than 3 hours.
o When possible, the train is preferred over flight for shorter trips.
2. Accommodation:
o Strongly prefer accommodation with a kitchen and cooking facilities. Anastasia follows a strict diet, and cooking for herself is more convenient.
3. Dietary Requirements:
o Anastasia adheres to a specific dietary regimen. Her diet excludes processed foods, grains (such as bread, cereals, rice, noodles), sugar, milk products, and eggs. Allowed foods include vegetables, meat, fish, beans, and nuts (only in their unprocessed form), water and green tea. She does not drink juices or other soft drinks.
o If food is catered for during the event, please advise the organizers of her dietary requirements to ensure they align with Anastasia's dietary restrictions.
